Rockwool cubes grow block for hydroponics are made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-like fibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. It has a tremendous capacity for absorbing nutrient solution while retaining plenty of oxygen for rapid plant growth. Seedlings or cuttings started in these cubes can also be transplanted into more traditional planters and growing mediums.
Rockwool cubes, slabs, and plugs offer cultivators, propagators, and commercial growers the opportunity to grow more while using less: less water, less plant nutrients, and less growing space.
Among all other properties, rockwool creates a stable growth environment for crops roots and it's high fiber density makes better use of water and fertilizers while allowing dry back.
